1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you (whether individually or on behalf of an enterprise entity) and Inkfoliodesk ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") concerning your access to and use of the Smart DevTools browser extension and the devtools.inkfoliodesk.com web application.
If you do not agree with all terms herein, you are expressly prohibited from utilizing the software and must uninstall the extension immediately.
2. Permitted Use and License Grant
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to utilize Smart DevTools strictly for professional software development, diagnostic inspection, and user interface engineering.
Authorized Scope: You may run the extension solely on websites, applications, and network infrastructure that you own or have explicit authorization to inspect, test, and diagnose.
Prohibited Misuse: You shall not use Smart DevTools to attempt denial-of-service tests against non-authorized endpoints, harvest proprietary data, execute malicious payloads, bypass authentication mechanisms, or reverse engineer commercial extension components.
3. Technical Limitations and Operational Scope
Smart DevTools operates entirely on-device within the browser environment. Users must take note of the following technical limitations:
In-Browser Load Testing: The Load Testing module simulates client HTTP requests originating from your local browser process. It is intended for frontend stress validation, rate-limiting checks, and client-side concurrency diagnostics. It does not replace enterprise distributed load testing platforms (e.g., k6, JMeter) and is subject to local CPU, browser socket pools, and OS networking limits.
Security and Header Verification: The Security Audit tool evaluates visible response headers, DOM configurations, and client-exposed secrets against industry standards (OWASP guidelines). It does not perform active server-side penetration testing, dynamic vulnerability exploitation, or binary reverse engineering.
Debugger Protocol Protocol Limits: Because Smart DevTools attaches via the Chrome DevTools Protocol (CDP), concurrent opening of native Chrome DevTools will detach the extension's debugger session due to single-client protocol architecture. Users may reattach upon closing native tools.
4. Commercial Licensing and Merchant of Record
Certain advanced modules within Smart DevTools may require a commercial license key.
Merchant of Record: Billing, tax compliance (VAT/sales tax), and order processing are facilitated through our authorized Merchant of Record (Lemon Squeezy). By purchasing a commercial license, you agree to their purchase terms and conditions.
Device Allocation: Standard commercial licenses authorize activation on up to three (3) active browser instances per named developer.
Offline Grace Period: Validated licenses maintain offline verification for up to fourteen (14) calendar days before periodic background revalidation is required.
Refund Policy: Commercial licenses are eligible for a full refund within fourteen (14) days of original purchase if the software fails to perform as described, upon submission of an inquiry to support@inkfoliodesk.com.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
All source code, design systems, algorithms, user interfaces, documentation, and trade dress associated with Smart DevTools are the exclusive intellectual property of Inkfoliodesk. You may not modify, distribute, sublicense, or create derivative works without prior written consent.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
Smart DevTools is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. Inkfoliodesk disclaims all warranties, whether statutory, express, or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted execution or error-free diagnostic calculations.
7. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Inkfoliodesk or its officers, contractors, or developers be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages (including loss of business profits, lost code, or server downtime) resulting from the use or inability to use Smart DevTools.
